Pool Deck

The pictures above/below is a taken from an eye-capturing resort that used Coralina Tiles in the production of their pool decks. The Coral stone or as some say keystone is an excellent choice around heavily populated areas due to the ability of keystone to maintain a non-slippery surface around pool decks. The benefit of this is that children or anyone can easily slip on any other tile, however, with keystone tiles you reduce or eliminate the chances of children falling on the tile due to wet surfaces.

The smooth finish on the keystone tiles are really what makes the resort look like the magical place it is. The white coral stone stands out when in the picture with beautiful,  green grass and palm trees. Keystone allows anybody to build their picturesque paradise, and enjoy their paradise day in and day out. Moreover, the heat resistance the stone provides is perfect for hot, summer days because the stone will maintain a cool temperature allowing people to walk and enjoy without being bothered my the flaming, hot ground.

The patterns on the Coralina tile are unique in every piece which gives an authentic, tropical appearance to the pool deck. Furthermore, the pool deck itself is completely made in Keystone/Coralina Tiles imported from the Dominican Republic. We challenge you to make the beautiful paradise you dream of with Coralina Tiles.

Stepping Stones

There are many options, and many designs to choose from when installing Coral Stone, or simply looking into the idea of remodeling with Coral Stone tiles. A highly demanded pattern/design is the Stepping Stone design. The stepping stones are simply placed in a order which forms a walkway, and give the tropical feeling to the environment.
Stepping stones are placed on any flooring or lawn. When placed on lawns the effect of the stepping stone is multiplied due to the vibrant colors and contrast of the stone. It has an aesthetic appeal, as well as, being non-slippery, heat resistant, and an easy install.
Stepping stones avoid the tragedy of guests trapping through your yard cause a path of messy dirt. They allow the opportunity for visitors to slow down, and enjoy the nature of your yard. Don’t allow your yard to become pathways of old, rugged dirt. Let this be the last year your guests have to get their shoes dirty, and install some stepping stones.
A question we are asked frequently is, “Is this a project I can do myself?” The answer is simple, for a small/medium pathway stepping stones are an easy install. However, for larger projects, installation is highly recommended to be done by professionals. If you would like to know more please visit our website @ www.coralstoneusa.com

The Beauty of Natural Dominican Coral Stone

Your pool’s deck should be a focal point for your outdoor living area. A pool deck can add beauty and visual interest to your pool, highlight attractive outdoor features and improve the value of your home. Whether you choose pavers, tiles or something else, the materials you use are just as important as the pool itself.

Not only should only should your deck add beauty to your outdoor environment, but it also needs to be comfortable to use. The best pool deck materials don’t retain heat, are easy to maintain, resist weathering, are non-slip, and are safe and sturdy. Common choices include travertine, limestone, granite and sandstone. However, none of these can compare to coral stone for beauty, strength and durability as well as comfort. We can use coral stone for a variety of architectural features, including tiles, trim, bases and columns, and it is an excellent material for pool decks.

The Benefits of Coral Stone

Coralina is a strong, durable, elegant-looking material that is versatile enough to be used in many settings and surroundings. The stone has minimal heat-retention, so you can step confidently out of the pool without worrying about burning your feet. It stays cool to the touch, reflecting heat naturally so that you can stand, walk or sit with comfort. This makes it a great option whether you live in an area that is hot year-round or just want to avoid unnecessary discomfort during a scorching hot summer.

The natural texture of the coral stone offers a durable non-slip surface without feeling rough. Pool tiles are notorious for their slick surfaces, and if those surfaces get wet, a fall is almost inevitable. The non-slip surface of coral stone can reduce the risk of injury. You probably should continue to avoid running around the pool, but with a non-slip coralina pool deck, your pool will be safer and more accessible to people of all ages.

A clean surface is just as important to health as a non-slip surface is. Mold can create multiple health hazards, from allergies and respiratory irritation to slippery, unsightly surfaces. Coral stone is naturally resistant to mold growth. While mold-resistance might not be much of a selling point to those with chlorine pools, it’s a huge advantage for those with saltwater pools.

Strength is another natural benefit of coral stone pool tiles. Coralina tiles or pavers are extremely durable and highly resistant to both the salt and chemicals used in most pools. They can stand up to heavy foot traffic and are easy to maintain. Although coralina is naturally found in warmer, tropical climates, it can still withstand temperature extremes at both ends of the spectrum, including repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

The Beauty of Natural Dominican Coral Stone

The attractive neutral tones of coral stone tiles are visually appealing and can complement nearly any setting. There is no need for added dyes, patterns or materials to improve the look of coral stone. Its effortless natural appearance is superior in quality and style. You can highlight specific colors in the pavers using gold, red or white for a fresh, summer look, or you can keep your whole palette neutral for a more classical, sophisticated feel.

Why settle for dull, lifeless concrete when coral stone pool decks can offer so much more? The elegant, luxurious natural stone is cool, comfortable, easy to use and easy to maintain. Dominican coral stone pavers and tiles are available in a variety of patterns, sizes and thicknesses so that you can achieve the exact look and feel you want. Coral Stone
Innovative, enduring beauty for all of your landscape designs.

When you begin a construction project, especially in a desert climate, choosing materials that are as enduring and practical as they are beautiful will ensure results that meet or exceed expectations. Coral Stone USA has long been a leader in innovative decorative architectural stone products that are certified for use by architects, interior designers, and other landscape professionals.

“Our coral stone products are ideal for constructing bases, trims, columns, corbels and other types of architectural stone preferences,” says Jorge Larrauri, president of Coral Stone USA.   “Our broad knowledge and vast experience in the architectural stone industry is what makes our craftsmanship extraordinary.”

Explore what makes coral stone unique.
Coral Stone, also known as coralina, it is a type of limestone obtained from tropical quarries, particularly in the Dominican Republic, where the best quality of stone is found. Coralina contains coral, shell fossils and sand, all of which gives it its unique qualities of strength, durability and elegance.

“Our natural Dominican coral-fossil also called coralina or keystone products are specially cut and sized to show the natural fossil patterns. What makes our products unique is that they are selected from the best blocks produced in the Dominican Republic,” notes Larrauri. “Customers love coralina because of its neutral color and rich texture that makes it a very versatile material for interior and exterior landscape designs. Clients come to us for columns, balustrades, handrails, moldings, corbels, fountains and any other piece of craftsmanship that can be fabricated with our beautiful natural stone.”

Discover an exceptional choice for pool and patio.
Outdoor living is abundant in the desert and when designing a swimming pool deck, functionality is one of the most important considerations.  Here in the Coachella Valley, where a beautiful, contemporary pool scape also needs to offer family members and guests a safe, non-slip surface with minimal heat retention coral stone is ideal. One of the key advantages of coral stone is that it has a safe, non-slip surface, reducing the chance of falls leading to injury.

A second reason pool owners love coral stone is that it offers an unusually low heat-absorbency. That means this beautiful, durable stone has the ability to withstand all types of weather extremes, salt water and the sort of wear and tear that a typical pool is subject to.   Using coral stone pool pavers when building a pool construction project will ensure years of enjoyment and a deck that stays cool underfoot. As an added benefit, corals tone is also resistant to mold, making it ideal for the growing class of people adopting saltwater instead of chlorine for pool sanitation.

Coral stone is also a great choice for beautiful and functional patio decks where you want to enjoy the sun but do not want a surface that heats up during the scorching summer months. Coral stone’s natural heat-reflecting properties ensure that any paved surface stays comfortably cool even in the hottest climate. Landscape architects and do-it-yourself homeowners appreciate the fact that installation is easy, requiring little modification once the stone is cut to size.

Beautifully neutral and environmentally friendly.
Functionality is one thing, but your pool, patio deck or other home improvement project also needs to complement your existing exterior and interior space. Coral stone has a color that is neutral and naturally muted; these natural tones complement any surrounding without taking center stage so your other design elements can shine. Whether your color preference is red, gold or white, this material blends in beautifully and perfectly accentuates everything from crystal pool water and fire pits to soft scape greenery and interior décor.

The name coral stone may be unfamiliar to some, and may make you think of the material found in coral reefs. In fact, coral stone is different from coral. Coral mining is the process of actively removing live coral directly from the sea. The process is very destructive to the sea and is sometimes carried out by dangerous machines.
Coral stone, on the other hand, is formed from fossils of sea organisms such as calcareous algae, corals from which it gets its name and other organisms with a calcium carbonate base. The substance is formed from fossils that were in the sea thousands or even millions of years ago. Quarries where the coral stone is mined are outside the sea and do not present any risk to coral reefs.

Bring the beauty of coral stone home.

Coral stone’s beauty and durability make it a very versatile building material that can add a unique elegance and quality finish to a variety of contemporary exterior and interior settings. This amazing stone is currently featured in high-end residences in Florida, including West Palm Beach and Naples, and luxury hotels in the Caribbean, Bahamas and beyond.
